Qualifying Series – 17th February – 25th May
National Final – Saturday 1st June
World Final – 26th October – 3rd November

We are delighted to welcome you to the Race To Phuket powered by AARO and run by Sport2Business Events.

This is an individual Medal, (Nett, off 95% course handicaps), sponsored series of events across all handicap divisions to select a team of 5 to represent the UAE in the World Amateur Golf Championship in late 2023.

There will be 18 qualifiers (max 3 attempts per player) across the finest golf courses of the UAE, culminating in the National Final at Abu Dhabi National Golf Club on 1st June 2024.

The 5 category winners of that final then will be flown to Phuket in Thailand for an all expenses paid 6 day golfing extravaganza, to represent UAE against 47 other countries in the World Final (www.worldgolfers.com)

The 5 EGF handicap divisions are as follows:
•Up to 5
•6-10
•11-15
•16-20
•21-25

Given the nature of the event, participants will need to be over 18 and have registered EGF handicaps as the event is sanctioned by the EGF.

The event is open to all amateur golfers, men and women, within these handicap groupings (ie maximum EGF handicap allowed is 25).

You will participate in the handicap grouping dependent on your EGF handicap on the day of the event.

EQUITABLE STROKE CONTROL
Equitable Stroke Control sets a maximum number of strokes that a player can post on any hole during the tournament to par +4.
In other words: If you are five over par on a hole, you pick up the ball and write the maximum strokes as shown below:

Par 3 = 7 strokes, Par 4 = 8 strokes, Par 5 = 9 strokes
