UAE Golfers Triumph in Intense Competition at Race to Laguna Phuket 2024 National Final

Abu Dhabi, UAE – June 5, 2024 – The Abu Dhabi Golf Club was the stage for an exhilarating showdown this Saturday as 80 skilled golfers battled it out in the searing heat for a coveted spot in the World Final of the Race to Laguna Phuket 2024. The stakes were high, with only five places available for the ultimate competition in Phuket on October 25th, 2024. Despite the challenging conditions, the participants delivered impressive performances, showcasing their talent and determination.

The results of the day are as follows:

Division 1 (up to 5 handicap):

  • 1st Place: Damon Mitchell (Yas Links) – Net 72
  • 2nd Place: Aryav Shah (Emirates Golf Club) – Net 74

Division 2 (6-10 handicaps):

  • 1st Place: Tim Kirk (Yas Links) – Net 68
  • 2nd Place: Conor Freeman (Sharjah) – Net 71

Division 3 (11-15 handicaps):

  • 1st Place: Damien Flood (Sharjah) – Net 67
  • 2nd Place: Farhaad Holliday (Al Hamra Golf Club) – Net 68

Division 4 (16-20 handicaps):

  • 1st Place: Michael B. (Abu Dhabi Golf Club) – Net 71
  • 2nd Place: Rodion Sokrovishchuk (Emirates Golf Club) – Net 73

Division 5:

  • 1st Place: Billy Newley (Al Zorah Golf Club) – Net 74
  • 2nd Place: Ashley Jung (Abu Dhabi Golf Club) – Net 74

Special recognition goes to Damon Mitchell for qualifying for the third consecutive year, an extraordinary accomplishment.
